3. Information collected
Depending on how you interact with monExpansion, the following categories of information may be collected:
- Website browsing: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, visit duration, technical data sent by your device, and audience-measurement data (see section 9 on cookies).

See section 7.
4. Purposes of processing
monExpansion uses the information collected for the following purposes:
- to respond to your requests and follow up on our exchanges;
- to send you the newsletter and communications you have consented to;
- to organize and confirm the workshops, diagnostics, and calls you book;
- to provide, operate, and improve our coaching services and AI systems;
- to operate the QuickBooks Online integration on your behalf, according to the permissions you grant;
- to measure website audience and improve its content;
- to comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
5. Legal basis and consent
Processing relies, as the case may be, on:
- your consent (newsletter, placement of non-essential cookies, connection of the QuickBooks Online integration);
- performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (call booking, service delivery);
- the legitimate interest of monExpansion in operating and securing its website and services;
- compliance with a legal obligation.
Your consent is free, informed, and given for specific purposes. You may withdraw it at any time (see section 11).
6. Disclosure to third parties and processors
monExpansion does not sell your personal information and does not share it for advertising purposes. To deliver its services, monExpansion relies on suppliers acting as processors, who process your information only on our instructions and for the purposes described above. The categories of processors are:
- Hosting and infrastructure: website hosting and secure data storage.
- Email and newsletter: sending communications and managing the customer relationship.
- Audience measurement: website traffic statistics.
- Booking: managing appointment scheduling.
- Intuit / QuickBooks Online: provider of the accounting platform that the integration connects to, when you authorize it.
monExpansion may also disclose information where required by law, in the context of legal proceedings, or to protect its rights.
7. QuickBooks Online integration (Intuit)
monExpansion develops and operates a software integration that connects to QuickBooks Online (Intuit) through Intuit’s official application programming interface (API). The following points govern this processing:
- OAuth consent: access is established only after you explicitly authorize it through Intuit’s secure OAuth authorization protocol. monExpansion never receives your Intuit credentials.
- Scope: the integration can read and write your business accounting data (for example invoices, customers, products, financial statements) in order to perform, on your behalf, the operations you request.
- Processing on your behalf: the financial data accessed by this integration is processed on your behalf, at your request, and according to your instructions.
- Security: this data is stored securely and encrypted, never in plain text.
- No sale, no sharing: this data is neither sold, shared, nor used for any purpose unrelated to delivering the service.
- Revocation: you may revoke access at any time from your Intuit account (connected apps management), or by asking us to do so. Revocation ends the integration’s access to your accounting data.
8. Data retention
monExpansion retains personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, or for the period required by law (notably accounting and tax obligations). Newsletter data is kept for as long as you remain subscribed. Data related to the QuickBooks Online integration is kept while the authorization is active and is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after access is revoked, subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Cookies
The website may use cookies and similar technologies:
- essential cookies: required for the website to function;
- audience-measurement cookies: to understand website usage and improve it.
You can configure your browser to refuse non-essential cookies or to be notified when they are placed. Refusing certain cookies may limit some features.
10. Security
monExpansion implements reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. This includes encryption of sensitive data at rest and in transit, restricted access, and the use of recognized suppliers. As no system is infallible, monExpansion cannot guarantee absolute security, but undertakes to act diligently and to notify you in accordance with the law in the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious harm.
11. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by law, you may exercise the following rights:
- Access: obtain confirmation that your information is being processed and obtain a copy of it.
- Rectification: have inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information corrected.
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent previously given at any time (for example, unsubscribe from the newsletter, or revoke the QuickBooks Online integration’s access).
- Portability: obtain, in a structured and commonly used technological format, the computerized information you have provided to us.
- De-indexing, deletion, or objection: as provided by applicable law.
To exercise a right, write to [email protected]. A response will be provided within the timelines required by law. You may be asked to confirm your identity.
12. Complaint to the supervisory authority
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca). Individuals located in the European Union may also contact the data protection authority in their country.
13. Transfers outside Quebec
Some processors may store or process information outside Quebec, notably in Canada, the United States (for example Intuit), or the European Union. Before any such transfer, monExpansion conducts a privacy impact assessment and ensures the information benefits from adequate protection through appropriate contractual or technical means.
14. Changes to this policy
